Flashcards that come back just before you’d forget them
Flashcards are one of the most effective study tools – if two things are true: you answer them from memory, and they come back at growing intervals. UniApp24 takes care of both, for your existing Anki decks too.
Import cardsWhy spacing matters so much
We forget new material quickly at first, then more slowly. Reviewing at the right moment – just before it’s gone – consolidates a lot with little effort. This spacing effect is one of the best-established findings in learning research (Cepeda et al., 2006).
Add the testing effect: retrieving an answer from memory strengthens it more than reading it again (Roediger & Karpicke, 2006). Flashcards combine both.
How UniApp24 schedules
For each card a memory model estimates how likely you are to still know it and schedules the next review just before that probability drops too low. The closer the exam, the higher the target: in the last three weeks the app aims for 95 %.
New cards arrive in a daily amount you choose – so a 3,000-card deck becomes a plan, not a mountain. Cards that aren’t relevant for the exam can be marked “not relevant” and won’t show up again.
Writing good cards
Most cards fail not because of memory but because of wording:
- One card, one fact. Better three short cards than one with a list.
- Context in the question. “In microeconomics: what is …?” – otherwise the card is ambiguous three months later.
- Cloze for sentences and definitions. One sentence becomes several cards, one per gap.
- Formulas in LaTeX, code with syntax highlighting, images where they help.
Importing Anki decks
Already have Anki decks – from medical school, say? Drop the .apkg or .colpkg file into the app. Cards, clozes, subdecks, images and your existing progress come along, so a deck you already know doesn’t start from scratch. Text exports (tab, semicolon, “question – answer”) and lists from Quizlet work too.
Everything is processed in your browser, even large decks with many images. Nothing is uploaded.
Let AI build the cards
Pick a course or a lecture and the app packs its content into a prompt for ChatGPT or Claude – with clear rules for good cards. Paste the answer, check it in the preview and import it. Every study unit also brings its own cards (how study units are made).
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes – no account, subscription or ads. Your cards live only in your browser; a backup file or Google Drive sync takes them to other devices.
Is my Anki progress kept?
Yes. From the deck’s review history the app computes each card’s memory state, so cards you know don’t all come back as new.
Can I export cards back to Anki?
Yes, every card set can be exported as an Anki text file.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The app can be installed and reviewing works without internet.
UniApp24 – free, no account
Your material becomes a study unit with exercises and flashcards, with reviews planned until the exam. Everything stays in your browser.
