Make flashcards from a PDF
Writing flashcards by hand takes longer than studying them. With AI they come from your PDF in minutes – what matters is that they’re good cards and that you review them at the right time.

How it works
- 1Open your PDF, script or slides in UniApp24 – the app reads the text in your browser.
- 2Open an AI chat (ChatGPT or Claude) – the brief is on your clipboard, paste and send.
- 3Paste the answer back into the app: terms, definitions and formulas become flashcards inside a study unit.
- 4Review a few minutes a day. The app schedules each card so you see it just before you’d forget it.
What an exercise feels like
A real exercise from a unit – try it.
Warm-up question· from the unit “Exponential growth”
A patch of water lilies doubles in size every day and covers the whole pond after 30 days. When was the pond half covered?
What makes a good flashcard
AI cards rarely fail on content, but on form. Good cards are:
- One question, one answer – not three facts on one card
- Self-contained – no card asking “What does the figure above show?”
- Phrased as a question, not a keyword: “Where does cellular respiration take place?” instead of “mitochondria”
- In your notation – the way the exam will ask
Why UniApp24 instead of plain AI cards
An AI can write you a list of flashcards. Then the work starts: checking cards, moving them into an app, planning reviews. UniApp24 checks every card automatically (does it refer to “above”? is the answer missing?), has faulty ones fixed by the AI and schedules reviews with FSRS – the algorithm Anki now uses too.
And: cards alone aren’t enough for subjects you need to understand. So they sit in a unit with explanations and exercises – cards for the what, exercises for the why.
Already have cards in Anki or Quizlet?
Anki decks (.apkg) can be imported with images and review history, as can Quizlet exports and plain text lists. More in the guide flashcards with spaced repetition and the comparison Anki alternative.
Frequently asked questions
Can the AI make flashcards from a whole script?
Yes. UniApp24 splits long scripts into parts automatically so no chapter gets lost.
How many cards do I get?
It depends on the material – typically 15–30 cards per lecture, plus practice exercises.
Can I edit cards?
Yes, every card can be changed, hidden or extended.
Does it work offline?
Studying does – the app can be installed. Only creating units needs the AI chat.
UniApp24 – free, no account
Your material becomes a study unit with exercises and flashcards, with reviews planned until the exam. Everything stays in your browser.
